AZAntz: Cyber Essentials certified in 8 working days, with zero IT staff
Published Canonical version: strongkeep.com/case-studies/azantz (link this to prospects directly).
The customer
AZAntz, a Singapore SME with an entirely non-technical team: no CISO, no IT staff, nothing beyond basic antivirus. Cybersecurity was not on their agenda until a contract requirement put it there.
The trigger
A government contract required Cyber Essentials certification. Without it, the contract could not proceed. The conventional routes are engaging a consultant (typically thousands of dollars for a small organisation) or attempting the CSA self-assessment alone, which is where most companies stall. AZAntz had neither the budget for the first nor the expertise for the second.
What they did
They onboarded to StrongKeep's Compliance Plan and followed the built-in guided assessment. The platform deployed the technical layer automatically: endpoint protection (Palo Alto Cortex XDR), DNS firewall (ControlD), password manager (Bitwarden) and phishing simulation. The compliance module surfaced only the clauses relevant to their scope, pre-filled where evidence could be gathered automatically, and flagged the remaining items needing manual input.
"When I saw the compliance module and the step-by-step list, I knew this was something I could follow. Everything was already laid out. I just needed to go through it."
Chee Keong, Sales Manager, AZAntz
The timeline
| Stage | Action | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Onboarded to Compliance Plan; Cortex XDR agents deployed across devices | ~2 hours |
| Days 1–3 | Compliance module auto-populated evidence for technical controls (EDR active, DNS firewall active, password manager enrolled) | Automated |
| Days 3–6 | Team completed training modules and phishing simulation; remaining manual clauses filled in the guided interface | ~3 hours staff time |
| Day 7 | Draft self-assessment reviewed; submission prepared | ~1 hour |
| Day 8 | Cyber Essentials certification received |
When to reach for this story
"You're too new"
The trust objection. A concrete, dated, published outcome beats a feature list. Pair with StrongKeep's origin: founded by a former national cybersecurity regulator.
"Compliance is too hard"
The complexity objection. Eight working days and about six hours of staff time, by a team with no technical background, is the rebuttal.
"I need board approval"
The forwarding problem. Send the champion the public case study link; it reads as third-party-visible proof, not a sales attachment.
